In Ayurveda, Bhallataka is known by more than 30 Sanskrit names. The word “Bhallataka” means, that which has the efficacy of a sharp arrow to kill diseases. Acharya Charaka says “Bhallataka” is one most useful medicine for rejuvenation and beneficial for improving brain health. It is recommended for treating ailments due to predominance of Kapha Vata disorders. Bhallataka act as fire and will be beneficial as rejuvenator if used properly (Cs.ci.1/19).
